NFL personnel are constantly looking for athletic players in the secondary who can run, hit, cover, and tackle in the secondary. This year they might have found a small school player who can do it all. Some have said that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie can’t tackle, however, those who watched the Senior Bowl saw that he has the ability to be a solid tackler. If you read scouting reports on him before the combine some said he did not have elite size or speed, makes you wonder how much bigger (6’1 ½, 184lbs) and faster (4.2 40) he would have to be to play in the NFL?
In today's spotlight we shine the light on Hawaii wide receiver Davone Bess as he prepares for the transition to the next level. He also tells which Warriors players to keep an eye on for next year's draft and his aspirations after his playing days are over.
This year’s group of linebackers doesn’t have a day one pick such as Justin Durant of Hampton from last year or a player who blew away scouts at the combine. It does have solid players you can draft on day two that could be solid backups and role players for a long time to come.
