Floyd Mayweather Jr. will make his much anticipated return to the ring on September 17 against newly minted WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz.
This was a rumor that was floating around for awhile, and finally came true yesterday. This seems like an atypical fight for him as Ortiz is 24-years-old and in his prime.
Mayweather is accused of selecting his opponents, and rightfully so, but this time he is getting a decent amount of respect for his choice of the young Ortiz.
I think this is another careful opponent selection, but this time there is a little more risk. These are the five reasons that I believe Mayweather Jr. picked Ortiz for his comeback fight.
