The Cavs blew it. If they had passed on Dion Waiters last year and had taken Harrison Barnes (who was significantly better than Waiters), they could have been in a position to draft McLemore this year and form one of the best young 1-2-3 combinations in all of basketball.
Instead, Porter is the pick here. I am not very high on Nerlens Noel. Noel is not the defensive presence Anthony Davis was, and I found his offensive game to be very under-whelming and one-dimensional. I have seen nothing to lead me to believe he will be a legitimate starter in the NBA.
Porter is a very solid all-around player and is the safest pick in this draft. He is NBA-ready and will contribute heavily on both sides of the ball. He may not have the highest ceiling, but the Cavs can solidify their small forward position with his pick.
