What was said was he was possibly a nice third option. Which he may be, but is still way to early to tell. The problem with LeBron in New York is that next year he'll be in almost the same spot he is in Cleveland. A one man show with limited money to spend after him. David Lee is a much better Anderson Varrejo, but after that the Knicks team is short on talent. Even with a second second tier free agent next year with a LeBron signing the Knicks would be the third or fourth best team in the East depending on where all of the other top free agents end up.
Lebron James is one of the few NBA players in history that cant goto ANY team and they will be an immediate 55 win team. He is the best basketball player i have ever seen in my life, and i have been watching hoops religiously for over 25 years....i dare someone to start a fancast and challenge me to why Kobe Bryant or jordan are better players than Lebron JAMES>>>I dare you
Let's not put your butt, before your head there Tito. LeBron is great, but the best ever? Let's wait and see when his career is over. Jordan 6 titles, Bryant 4 titles and James 0 titles. Which one of these doesn't belong with the others. The best ever includes taking your team to the top at least once. Nothing matter in sports, in competition than a championship. Players don't play for stats, but are measured by championships. LeBron will need to win at least one to join the conversation with the likes of Jordan and Bryant.
LeBron has plenty of time and may well be the best ever after he is all said and done, but he must climb the mountain before he is crowned the King of the NBA.
Lebron James taking that crappy Cavs team to the finals and losing and winning 4 straight games against the Pistons that that year in the playoffs all by himself was way more impressive than any of Jordans title seasons.....you may have an argument with Jordan...but if you think ANY GM in basketball would take Kobe Bryant over LeBron James you sir are an absolute fool. BUT i think you already proved that by saying Derrick Rose is a better PG than RaJon Rondo....JUST wondering, is Chauncey Billiups a better PG than Steve Nash or John Stockton cuz he was the main part of the PISTONS winning a title? according to you he is.....right?
Steve Nash for sure, John Stockton no way. Anyone that looks that terrible in short shorts and gets the job done is by far one of the best to ever play. Would the Pistons have won championships without Chauncy, probably not.
Now you can make an arguement for Jordan, but not Kobe. If Kobe was a Celtic you more would love and adore him. Just another example of your fandom getting in the way of your opinions.
Derrick Rose is still better than Rondo.
He has a long way to go to top Tiger. Who will still be raking in tons of cash for the next ten to fifteen years. So becoming the richiest athlete in professional sports will be very hard to do, even playing in New York.
McSpazz...you say that the Pistons wouldnt have won championships without Bollips...problem is, they only one ONE Championship with Billups, not plural like you say. Get your facts straight before commenting on my fancasts....thank you
