While I disagree that MMA is an "easier" sport than boxing, I have to agree with Tito here. As a boxing fan going back to when I was 5 years old, it's just flat out better. In fact, the best fights tend to have the "smaller" guys. The skill they show is unmatched and the roster of fighters is very long. Chavez, Whitaker, Ricardo Lopez, Trinidad, Pacman, Mayweather, and these are just guys in my lifetime. The best of the best were guys from the 50's on. Heavyweight division has sucked for a long time, but the real skill always goes to the little guys. Boxing >> MMA, for sure.
Boxing is much better than MMA. Without boxing we would have never been blessed with Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Any sport that can bring a game as entertaining and forever as that tops anything in its way.
Since this website is on welfare and crashes and won't accept my response video to Tito... I'll just let him win cause this website is on welfare.. what a fucking joke! MMA is more compelling T.V. and has all kinds of fighters around the world with different styles and they don't always go to the ground.... so I think Boxing is a art and been around forever but it lacks it's main attraction and that's heavyweights!
Great, now websites are on welfare, what's next? @ RaiderMike c'mon man keep trying it will except it eventually. Though Tito is right on this one just don't throw in the towel.
I would if I could Mcspazz... Every time I repeat myself in recording it and click save it gives me a ERROR message saying I need to record a video after I already recorded it.. I did that like 10 times I am done trying fight this welfare website that has flaws. Better tell the boys who administer this site to fix the problem cause I am tired of emailing them to constantly tell them there flaws in the website. I hate repeating myself! I already did ten times and still get the same error message... Fuck it!
Mikey, I feel your pain too. I too have emailed FanvsFan many times about the blog editor which has weakened my blog so much I have almost given up on it. I get in return the same answers, changes and improvements are being made and to be patient.
The site was better before they changed the look, buttons and options. It had many less flaws which made it more enjoyable. At this rate the popularity will grow stagnant if improvement or corrections aren't made soon. Don't give up though, I need someone other than Tito to talk smack with.
Boxing better then MMA? Uh no. The sport of boxing is sadly almost DEAD, where as the sport of mma is just taking off. Boxing is simply just one aspect to the sport of MMA. Sure you can say it paved the way for MMA to get onto TV and that I won't deny, but what about MMA paving the way for boxing to become a competitive sport? Yes long before boxing was competed as a sport it was Material Arts which paved the way! LONG LONG before boxing it was pankration... the first hand to hand combat sport allowed into the olympics!
LONG LIVE MMA!
Material Arts? Who competes in that a bunch of young, rich, white girls?
yup, never seen it? daddy's little girls can get pretty nasty!
for the record TITO, when those fights hit the ground its nothing BUT a display off technique! Have you ever trained BJJ? Its an art form and I have never ONCE said please stand back up. Not all men were blessed with the ability to throw punches, some of us had to settle for wrestling and jitz. I give it to you that a real boxer has better hands 10 times out of 10 but does that mean he'll win the fight? NOPE! God gave us all these other abilities to use in a fight!
Also have u ever watched the best MMA fights before? they will easily triumph the best boxing matches! A fight you would enjoy.....Melvin Mahoef vs Cyborg.
Also theres a HUGE difference in the gloves they wear. Boxing uses gloves to pad the punches where the UFC/MMA uses gloves stop the fighters hands from breaking.
