ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) – Comprising the best class in school history, one which earned instant praise from national analysts, UCF signed 18 student-athletes to either a National Letter of Intent or Financial Aid Agreement on Wednesday. The 18 will join five mid-year enrollees in a 23-member class that is expected to be tabbed as the best recruiting class in UCF history.
The 2010 signing class has a tremendous Miami-Dade County influence as nine Miami-Dade residents signed on with the Knights. Many of these signees were named to the All-Dade County team. Five of the Miamians hail from Miami Central High School, state semifinalists in class 6A this year. UCF also boasts a group of Georgians as five of the newest Knights hail from the Peachtree State. Two South Carolinians are also in the fold.
This group will help the Knights build upon an all ready strong foundation as the team enters 2010 on the heels of an 8-5 campaign and a berth in the St. Petersburg Bowl.
