Report: John Clay To Miss Entire Spring After Surgery

Wisconsin running back John Clay will miss the team's entire spring practice and that might not be a bad thing. That's because Clay will use the time to have surgery on his ankles injured during his first two seasons.

He already had one procedure on his left ankle on Jan. 7. The removal of a piece of bone required a two-month rehabilitation. A more minor surgery is planned for his right ankle is slated for March 25. When the fall comes around, Clay expects to be rid of the leg injuries that have bothered him since he broke his leg in seventh grade.
