The former wide receiver out of Utah discusses going deep, his pro day performance and his future--on and off the field.


What are your current measurables such as height, weight, 40, and bench reps?
Richards: 5’10 5/8” – 182lbs – 4.39 – 20 reps

Why did you choose Utah coming out of high school?
Richards: I was a big fan growing up and I wanted to play in front of my family and friends.

How did your pro day go?
Richards It went really well. I was really happy with my numbers and the way the workout went. A few teams talked to me after and that was a confidence boost.

Do you have any private workouts set up?

Richards: Not yet, I am just staying in shape and getting ready for the camps to come.

What do you feel are your biggest strengths on the field?

Richards: My ability to stretch the defense with my speed and quickness.

What are your biggest weaknesses on the field?
Richards: Get more yards after the catch.

Did you feel snubbed by not getting an invite to the combine?
Richards: I would have liked the opportunity to showcase my skills in front of hundreds of scouts and show that I can play at the next level.

What do you feel you bring to a team?
Richards: A hard work ethic and the versatility to play receiver and punt returner.

What do you feel is the toughest thing about playing receiver?
Richards: Going across the middle.

Do you have any players on your team who you feel will be NFL prospects next year?
Richards: Darrell Mack and Bryce McCain

Do you have any expectations on draft day such as a round or team?
Richards: I would like to get picked up in the later rounds, and I would be happy to play for any team.

What are your future goals outside of playing in the NFL?
Richards: Support my family, be a good husband and Dad, and enjoy life.
