Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera laid down the law to his players on Tuesday. Rivera emphatically told the defense in a long meeting that he wasn't pleased with a number of things and that players would be evaluated in practice over the next two weeks, just as everyone in the organization is evaluated.

Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson did not practice yesterday and is in danger of missing his second straight game according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Tomlinson hopes to play Sunday against Miami but said yesterday that he does not need to rush back due to the Chargers having Darren Sproles and Michael Bennett behind him.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, RB Michael Bennett is in line for some work Sunday with LaDainian Tomlinson (ankle) questionable for the game.
Philip Rivers agreed to a six-year, $92 million contract extension with the Chargers on Monday, ESPN reports. The deal includes between $38-39 million in guaranteed money.
