Pro Day: Jermaine Cunningham By The Numbers
Written by Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution    Monday, 12 April 2010 08:29    PDF Print E-mail

Florida defensive end/linebacker Jermaine Cunningham, of Stephenson High, had a fine showing at his pro day workout last week before suffering a first degree quadriceps strain.

Here are the vitals:

* Nine feet, 10.5 inches in the broad jump.
* Thirty-five inches vertical jump.
* The Stephenson High product ran a 1.57 seconds in the 10 yard split, which is a super time.
* He ran a 4.92 seconds in the 40-yard dash, suffering the strain while running.
* After pulling the quad, he didn’t run the cone drill.
* Cunning did well in the linebacker drills and defensive end drills as he fought through the quad injury.

A total of 20 teams were on hand for his workout. Some of the teams included Miami, Minnesota, New York Jets, Baltimore, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Kansas City, New York Giants, Detroit, Green Bay, New Orleans, Tampa Bay and St. Louis.

The Cardinals didn’t make it, but asked for film.

The workout was key for Cunningham, who had recovered from shoulder surgery that forced him to miss the Senior Bowl and working out at the NFL scouting combine.

Cunningham had surgery on Jan. 5. Dr. James Andrews did the surgery and projected a full recovery.

Pro Day Results: Jimmy Clausen Projection Varies
Written by NFL Draft Bible    Saturday, 10 April 2010 06:40    PDF Print E-mail

In a 30-minute scripted workout, Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen completed 57-of-59 passes, run by former NFL offensive coordinator and current Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Tresman.

The workout was attended by St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo and Bills general manager Buddy Nix, amongst others. In all, 16 NFL teams were in attendance.

Opinions vary overall depending on who you ask and Clausen admitted himself that he could go top 10 or he could go round two. We tend to think it will be somewhere in between.
