10.15.09 – vs. Cincinnati – Freshman QB B.J. Daniels is a playmaker. The kid has a big time arm and is very comfortable throwing on the move. His special scrambling ability is the icing on the cake. This is not to say that he doesn’t look comfortable in the pocket as well. He is still learning, as he made a terrible rookie mistake—throw the ball right to a Cincinnati safety. Daniels simply didn’t see he him and forced to the ball late to his intended receiver. Daniels has good ball skills. And as good as he as of runner, he seams to look to throw first, eyes always down the field. For better or for worse, the play is never over with Daniels. If his receivers didn’t drop several passes—including a sure 86-yard touchdown by Carlton Mitchell—Daniels’ final numbers would have been far better. Final Stats: 15-32, 208 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs
