Skinny: Durability and consistency would best describe Ziemba, who has 38 career starts entering his senior season. Standing in at 6’8, 320 pounds, he has gained nearly 50 pounds since his sophomore season and has still managed to keep his mobility. Ziemba will need to improve upon his pass-blocking and his penalty issues have been well chronicled.

07/23/10 - Auburn coach Gene Chizik has talked several times about the big bucks senior offensive tackle Lee Ziemba could be making in the NFL this season. Ziemba opted to return for his final year of eligibility. "He had a chance to come out and be a high draft pick this past year, but he loves Auburn," Chizik said. "He made the choice to stay at Auburn...He's as happy as he's ever been." For his part, Ziemba has declined to talk about the NFL evaluation process or reveal in what round he was projected to be drafted. "It doesn't matter anymore," he said. "I'm here." Ziemba was one of three Auburn players toting a mini video camera Friday. When he sat down in front of a group of reporters, he set down the camera on the table to get a wide-angle shot. "They told me they were going to use it for marketing or something," he said with a shrug. "This is a big deal. I want to remember it." – Al.com
04/10/10 – Barring injury, offensive tackle Lee Ziemba will set the Auburn record for career starts this season. For someone who played through chronic knee problems as a sophomore just to stay on the field, the reaction seemed somewhat perplexing. “I guess it’s not that big of a deal to me,” Ziemba said. “It’s what you do during the starts that’s the big deal.” Ziemba said he primarily wants to work on his body control this season so he can get to the second and third level of the defense. That, he thinks, will improve his NFL draft status even further and make his decision to return for his senior season worthwhile. With a few adjustments, Ziemba hopes, he could emerge as one of the top offensive linemen in the nation. – Decatur Daily
