SCOUT'S TAKE
Skinny: Clayton is extremely physical and hits very hard. He set an Oklahoma record with six forced fumbles during the 2008 season. The former safety is also good in coverage, recording nine pass breakups. He added 84 total tackles, 11 for loss, 4.5 sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery to his 2008 stats. He will be the engine of the Sooners’ defense in 2009.

Honor Roll: Clayton was named All-Big 12 honorable mention by the Associated Press and the coaches in 2008.
High School: Clayton attended Sulphur Springs High School in his hometown. He was rated as high as the No.3 safety in the nation and ranked 63rd in the nation regardless of position. He registered 120 tackles and four interceptions during his senior season.
Personal: Clayton is majoring in multidisciplinary studies.
