SCOUT'S TAKE

Skinny: Last season because of some injuries to projected starter Travis Beckum (New York Giants), Graham became the focal point of the Wisconsin passing attack. He led the Badgers with 40 receptions, 540 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. Graham has good size at 6’4, 248 pounds and should be Wisconsin’s most reliable target again this season. Graham has the ability to be similar to Seattle’s John Carlson at the next level, a reliable blocker and a sure handed receiver. He isn’t going to wow you with either, but is going to get the job done and when the season is over he is going to have around 50 catches.

Our View: Graham plays tight end for Wisconsin and was the teams leading receiver in 2008 with 40 catches for 540 yards and 5 touchdowns. The reason that the NFL looks at him as more of a fullback or H-back is because he is just right around 6-2 245 pounds and is a dominate inline blocker, but is a good overall athlete that you want to get on the field, he reminds me a lot of Frank Wycheck, who the Titans would move around a lot to create match up problems.

NEWS

Senior Bowl: Garrett Graham (TE - Wisconsin) has strong hands, and looks very athletic when he turns up field after the catch.  Graham effectively uses his size to push defenders out of the way when making a break on his route. Graham was the smoothest TE on the field for the north squad. His ability to turn up field after the catch was effortless on a consistent basis and he caught the ball cleanly in most drills. He made catching the football look easy. He looked relaxed and confident today in a practice where other players seemed a bit more calculated and nervous not to make a mistake. - Draft Guys (01.25.10)

04.21.09 - University of Wisconsin tight end Garrett Graham was curious about the draft process. So he decided to explore his option with the National Football League advisory board during the offseason to see where he stood, if he came out. "Fourth or fifth round," said Graham, who led UW in receiving last season with 40 catches for 540 yards, despite missing two games with injuries.

01.08.09 - After gathering information regarding their potential NFL Draft status, two Wisconsin football players have made decisions regarding their futures. Junior running back P.J. Hill will forgo his senior season at UW and enter the NFL Draft, while junior tight end Garrett Graham will return to Wisconsin for his senior season. "We are excited for both players," Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema said. "I know that Garrett is looking forward to completing his time at UW and improving for his senior season and we are thrilled to have him returning. Graham led the Badgers in receptions (40), receiving yards (540) and receiving touchdowns (five) in 2008 despite missing two full games due to injury. He was named first-team All-Big Ten by the media and was a second-team selection by the coaches. Over the last two seasons, Graham has 70 catches for 868 yards and nine touchdowns.
