Harris is much faster than the 4.4-forty he ran for the scouts in the spring; he had a tweaked hand, which prevented him from working on his timed speed, but Harris has plenty of ability. He set the 100-meter state record in high school and flashes the speed to become a game changer. Also attractive to scouts is his size (6’1, 200) which makes him a tough match up. He only played one season of high school football and shows a major upside with his continued development. Still raw, he earned All-Great West honors every year in college. Harris is a big, strong receiver who is works harder than he did earlier in his career and has the looks of a sleeper in 2009. The bloodlines are certainly there, as his father spent some time in the NFL and his second cousin is the legendary Jerry Rice. Harris will probably earn a priority free agent grade entering the season, but if he can climb into the 4.3-range in his forty-yard dash, the mid-to-late rounds are not out of the question.
