Pros: The athletic edge defender knows how to get to the quarterback as his 14.5 career sacks in only 13 career starts (all at defensive end) prior to the 2008 campaign prove. He has played in 38 games in his career and has a chance to reach 50 if he stays healthy for his final season in Maize and Blue. Jamison is versatile, having seen some action as an outside linebacker in addition to his time as a defensive end. He is a player that coaches will be able to move around to keep offenses off guard, with the potential to be a weapon as a 3-4 rush linebacker. Also look for Jamison to contribute on special teams.

Cons: Does he have a definite position at the next level or is he a tweener? That is the biggest concern surrounding this Wolverine. With his hand on the ground, Jamison does not have the girth or strength that NFL clubs look for in their three-down linemen. He needs to a better job against the run, particularly battling in the trenches and if he plays in a two-point stance, Jamison has to prove he is mobile and agile enough to handle linebacker duties. He suffered a season-ending injury during his true freshman campaign, which turned into a red-shirt season.

Overall: Following LaMarr Woodley and Shawn Crable, Jamison is the next pass rushing defensive end coming out of Ann Arbor, one with the potential to move to outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme. With a full season as a starter behind him, Jamison is ready for a monster senior season as the Wolverines look for their defense to lead the way in 2008. There is not a lot of buzz regarding his potential heading into the season, but he could be a fast riser leading up to the 2009 Draft.
