1/3/09 - Massachusetts DB Sean Smalls (Fractured bone in hip) will not participate in any of the upcoming post-season all-star games.
8/1/09 - Standing in at 6’0, 203-pounds, Smalls is the complete physical package. The UMass standout finished with 10 pass breakups as a junior on his way to First Team All-CIAA honors after picking up Second Team All-Atlantic 10 plaudits in 2006. He has great skills, average speed and great upside. Coaches have thrown lofty praise his way, as Smalls has stood out as a high character player. If he can improve upon his 4.5-timed speed and clock in the 4.4-range, Smalls may jump from priority free agent status to the middle rounds.
