1.27.09 – McKillop wasn't quite as dynamic or playing downhill as well as McKenzie, but he was patient vs. the run, flowing to the play and saving the defense a ton of yards with his sure tackling. - Draft Guys On Location at the Senior Bowl
1.20.09 – Scott McKillop also flourished in 11 on 11's, simulating game action, as opposed to drills that isolate tools. McKillop read plays very well and cleaned up after Raji wrecked the line like a bull in a china shop. - Draft Guys On Location at the Senior Bowl
Scout's Take - 8.15.08
McKillop was a reserve his first two seasons behind H.B. Blades before seizing the starting role as a junior. The unanimous All-Big East selection proved to be productive, finishing with 151 total tackles--the third highest single-season total in Pitt history--in just his first season as a starter as the MIKE backer. McKillop also compiled nine tackles for loss, three sacks, two fumble recoveries, an interception and seven pass breakups. The former high school wrestler brings toughness and intensity with him every time he steps on the gridiron. He has good size and if he bulks up a bit more, he could be an outstanding inside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. McKillop might have to play in that alignment because he lacks the type of sideline-to-sideline speed one needs to man the middle in the 4-3 defense. McKillop is a solid mid-to-late round selection who could be one of those overachievers that exceeds his projected potential.
