Davis is a solid, consistent runner but does not stand out in any one particular area. He does have impressive measurables and with former starting running back Cory Boyd (Buccaneers) now in the NFL, the best may be yet to come from this Gamecock. Davis is capable of plugging away between the tackles with the burst to bounce it outside if the opportunity presents itself. He has improved as a receiver and become more of a well-rounded football player. Davis has had some fumbling issues and needs to work on securing the football. He is unproven as a feature back and it is unclear how durable he can be, making the 2008 season critical to his status as a pro prospect.
