The main knock on Carpenter is his lack of size and durability is also a concern for making the jump to the pros—his body appears fragile and there are concerns whether he would be able to take the pounding. The California native also lacks a rocket arm and would be vulnerable to throwing interceptions. What he does bring is some mobility and some moxie. Carpenter could be a solid option off the bench who could bring a spark or hold the fort down for a game or two.
