Pizzotti was granted a fifth year for 2008 and has the tools of an ideal pocket passer at 6’4, 225-pounds and 5.0 speed. Two years ago he wasn’t even considered a potential prospect but has improved immensely, which has shown. After throwing 1,051 yards as a sophomore, Pizzotti went over 2,100 yards in ‘07. He is a smart kid with great character but his intangibles might be the most impressive thing about him. Another solid season could move him from free agent status to priority free agent status or a possible seventh round selection if he improves his timed speed.
