2.16.09 - Hill reminds me of LenDale White. Both are big backs that are tough to bring down, but neither runs with the force of power their size indicates. Hill is patient and shows good footwork when sliding to and through holes. To his credit he played through some nagging injuries at Wisconsin, but he’s too top heavy and not sudden enough to be a workhorse in the pros.
1.9.09 - Wisconsin junior running back P.J. Hill will enter the NFL draft. "I just feel the time is right for me to take the next step in my career," Hill said in a statement released by the school. "I would like to thank my teammates, coaches and the Badger fans for the great experience I had during my time at UW."
12.31.08 - Hill redshirted in 2005 but came on big in 2006 earning several honors after rushing for 1,569 yards with 18 touchdowns and 197 yards receiving with one score. His 2007 campaign wasn't as impressive as he missed a game with an injury but Hill still rushed for 1,212 yards with 14 touchdowns and hauled in14 passes for 89 yards and one touchdown. This season he was again slowed some with a foot injury but Hill still rushed for 1,021 yards with seven touchdowns. He has filed paperwork with the NFL to determine his draft stock but odds are he will return for his senior season.
12.15.08 - The chances Hill will leave early appear slim, and he told Bielema he plans to return in 2009. He has been a productive college back, becoming only the second player in UW history to rush for 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons — joining Ron Dayne. Hill has 3,802 career rushing yards, which puts him third on the school's all-time list and within reach of Anthony Davis, who has 4,676 yards in second place. Dayne tops the list with 7,125 yards. While the 236-pound Hill has size and power, the big question is whether he is fast enough to make it in the NFL.
