7/1/08 - A transfer from East Mississippi CC, Branson has spent just one year in the FCS entering 2008 but has made the most of it. He earned honorable mention All-America honors and Second Team All-Southland accolades after catching 37 passes for 499 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. He did not run in the spring for scouts but is expected to post a high 4.6-to-low-4.7 forty-yard dash. If he can post those types of numbers at his pro day workout, Branson could quickly move up from his priority free agent status on most boards.
