1.21.09 – MOBILE, Cullen Harper(Clemson) had the best moments of the South QBs, throwing nice deep touch passes, but his three step drop was more like a two hop drop, and his ball placement was poor at times. 1.20.09 – MOBILE, Cullen Harper(Clemson) put little zip on his passes despite exerting a lot of (wasted) energy in his delivery. His footwork was inconsistent, sometimes throwing off his back foot, and even throwing a jump (really a hop) pass or two. Sadly, none of South QBs look as good as any of the North QBs, and we're not sure they are better than the QBs we watched last week at the Shrine practices in Houston. 1.19.09 – MOBILE, Cullen Harper(Clemson) had probably the best day of the South QBs, putting nice touch on some of his passes, but after watching the North practice on tape this evening, he still didn't play as well as any of North trio. 12.31.08 - The Senior Bowl said Wednesday that quarterback Cullen Harper, safety Michael Hamlin and tailback James Davis of the Tigers, along with receiver Kenny McKinley of the Gamecocks accepted invitations to play in the Jan. 24 game.
7.1.08 - Harper has good size and vision in the pocket, with more than enough length to see over his linemen to find passing lanes. He has also displayed superb decision-making and does a good job of hitting receivers in stride. In 2007, Harper set a school record with his touchdown-to-interception ratio (27:6) and was voted permanent team captain. The main knock on the Tigers signal-caller is his inconsistency, particularly against upper echelon opponents. He doesn’t possess any eye-popping measurables or great athleticism and has average arm strength. However, with his smarts and leadership, a strong senior campaign would solidify his status as one of top prospects at his position.
