3.20.09 - RB/KR Cedric Peerman (5-9 5/8, 211 pounds) ran 4.47 seconds in the short shuttle at the UVA Pro Day and kept the rest of his workout numbers from the combine.

Peerman is an enigma. He's fast and runs hard all the time...but he fumbles the ball too much and has durability issues. He'll bust off a huge run and make you think he's a top-5 back...but then you look at his history of injuries, watch him play hot potato with the ball, and realize he may not be more than a 5th round pick. He's certainly got skills. I think Peerman is underrated. I like his ability to make defenders miss in the open field, as well as his soft hands as a receiver. - All Access Daily Dose: Pro Day Impact & Analysis

2.16.09 - Cedric was known as “Mr. Versatility” during his time with the Cavaliers. A natural leader, Peerman’s work ethic is contagious to his teammates. He is quick to the hole, and even though he doesn’t have elite speed he has been known to bust long runs off from time to time. Durability is a concern and scouts question whether ball security will be an issue as well because Peerman had the smallest hand measurement of any skill player at the Senior Bowl. - Draft Guys

1.27.09 – MOBILE, Cedric Peerman (RB-Virginia) - Peerman's hard charging style looked a lot better during the game than it did in the week of practices. He bounced off of contact and broke tackles - something he couldn't do in the low-impact practices. He ducked under one would-be tackler and ran downhill with good body lean. His small (7 7/8") hands might prove to be a problem at the next level, although we also give Rey Maualuga a lot of credit for a good strip on Peerman's fumble. 1.21.09 – MOBILE, Cedric Peerman(Virginia) flourished as a blocker in blitz pickup drills and showed good balance and body control after contact as a runner, but his initial burst, speed, and quicks aren't up to Sheets and Johnson's level. Draft Guys On Location at The Senior Bowl

1.20.09 – MOBILE, Cedric Peerman(Virginia) It wasn't a good day for Peerman running the football. He was caught once behind the line of scrimmage by Scott McKillop. However, once again he looked good in receiving drills. Draft Guys On Location at The Senior Bowl

1.19.09 – MOBILE, Cedric Peerman(Virginia) I was excited to see Peerman on the Senior Bowl roster, and he did not disappoint on the practice field. He showed great patience as a runner, and when the lane was there he had the burst to accelerate through. He didn't lose much speed in and out of his breaks, and has a nice spin move in his repertoire. Despite having the smallest hands (7 7/8) of all the RBs, he had a good day catching the football. His body control was on display as he caught a low pitch from Bomar, turned on the speed and outran Patrick Chung to the second level. Draft Guys On Location at The Senior Bowl

7.1.08 - Peerman has much to prove going into his final season of eligibility if he expects to get a look at the next level. After getting limited touches as a reserve during his first two seasons as a Cavalier, Peerman missed the final seven games of the 2007 campaign. He was set to be the main man and assume the bulk of the workload, as he averaged 25 carries over a four-game span and was atop the ACC rushing leaders before the injury derailed his season. Peerman isn’t the biggest or the fastest, but he is a powerful, physical runner. He excels between the tackles, a one-cut runner who could flourish in a zone-blocking scheme. With solid hands, Peerman has the tools to be a factor in the passing game and has shown some burst as a kick returner.
