Newton is fairly athletic and shows good quickness. He also has a great work ethic and athletic bloodlines. His father Cecil played football at Savannah State and then with the Dallas Cowboys. Newton has the ability to long snap and started the last two seasons. Scouts like his game more than most realize, as they have tabbed him a potential late-round pick.
