Pros: A starter for most of his career, Adibi brings plenty of big game experience along with great athleticism and quickness. He possesses above average cover skills, is very fluid, and can catch the football. Adibi can also rush the passer, getting to the quarterback with his excellent closing speed once he senses a potential sack. Against the run, he covers a lot of ground sideline-to-sideline. Adibi possesses fluid hips, keeps his head on a swivel, and is an aggressive player who makes plays in the backfield as well as in the open field—he’s a big hitter who looks to separate ball from ball carrier. The Hokie is also a very smart player who plays with great passion. Adibi has a nose for the football and he plays with a high motor on every snap. He can be a team leader. Medical Examiner: Torn a tendon in his right bicep as a freshman and underwent surgery the following week. He has remained injury-free since then, starting the past 39 games at linebacker for the Hokies. Highlights of Accomplishments: Personal: His older brother Nathaniel was a standout defensive end for Virginia Tech and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his father Abiodun played soccer at Oklahoma State and is now a professor at Hampton University. High School: Played defensive end, linebacker, and fullback at Phoebus High School in Hampton, VA. Adibi rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns in the 2002 3A State Title Game, as the Phantoms won their second straight state title. He was a first team All-State selection his junior and senior years. Major: Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management Only Subscribers Click below to sign up
