| Nike says it does not have a "contractual relationship" with Michael Vick, a day after the quarterback's agent announced a deal with the manufacturer. In a statement released Thursday morning, Nike says it has "agreed to supply product to Michael Vick as we do a number of athletes who are not under contract with Nike."

| Eagles QB Mike Vick envisioned himself as a starter when he returned to football and seems to be puzzled as to why that’s not the case. "This is not the exact scenario I thought would play out, I thought I'd be playing with a team and actually starting." Vick told Sean Leahy of USA Today. "I know I can play this game," Vick said. "I know I can play it for a long time. I still have the speed, the quickness, and the mind to run an NFL offense."

| Mike Triplett, of The New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports the Philadelphia Eagles used the Wildcat formation a total of nine times in Week 2 for a total of 45 yards. The formation featured RB Brian Westbrook and WRs DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin in the quarterback role.
