Who is William Hayes you ask? Find out about the Winstom Salem State pass rusher here.

DE/OLB William Hayes, Winston Salem State
6023, 268 pounds, 4.70

Hayes jumped on the scene this season as he became a top-notch defender in the CIAA... he was invited to the inaugural Heritage All-Star Classic, which featured players from HBCU schools... has the ability to rush the passer from his natural defensive end spot, but also stand-up and come off the edge... he ran 4.70 range in the 40-yard dash for scouts... can be a little slow to react to plays run away from him... gets too high against the run as he sometimes stands up and could be found just standing around the pile too often when his first move was not effective... his weight has fluctuated between 265-272 pounds... also has some experience playing strong-side linebacker... recorded 78 tackles, 8.5 sacks and returned two of his four fumble recoveries for touchdowns... led the team with 129 tackles and 16 sacks over the final two years of his career.
