(1-3) Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College – Ryan was everything the Falcons hoped for and more. ROY honors and leading a team into the playoffs after the disaster season of 2007. Ryan showed poise and leadership and very well could be the face mark of the NFL for years to come. Grade A+

This 6’5 314 pounder was considered the runt of the litter when growing up in his house hold. Baker needed a discetomy and missed 7 games before returning for the final three regular season games. Baker was a factor in the fierce running game the Falcons displayed. Grade B-

(2-37) Curtis Lofton, LB, Oklahoma –
Playing in 15 games starting 16 Lofton was as advertised manning the middle for the Falcons. Ranking fifth in team tackles with 60 and 1 sack number that Lofton will build upon. Could become the leader of the linebacker core if Brooking is to depart and Boley leaves free agency. Grade B+

(3-68) Chevis Jackson, CB, Louisiana State –
Made a big play by intercepting Drew Brees in the 4th quarter and returning the pick 95 yard score and preserving a Falcon win in November. Jackson had 26 tackles played in 14 games and should push to start in 2009. Grade B

(3-84) Harry Douglas, WR, Louisville –
The Big East receiver showed some flashes with his speed and elusiveness. Finishing 4th on the team with 23 receptions Douglas could becomes Atlanta’s quick strike weapon in next season with his ability to get yards after the catch. Grade B+
