| According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Minnesota Vikings are calling teams around the league in an attempt to deal quarterback Tavaris Jackson.

| Kevin Seifert, of ESPN.com, reports Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had high praise for quarterback Brett Favre, saying Favre's arrival to the team is special. "It's special," Peterson said. "I've been watching the guy since I was in elementary school. To be able to be on the same team with him and for him to bring that passion he plays with ... He's just a good guy, a funny guy. He's a good teammate." |

| According to Sportsnet.ca, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added Tavaris Jackson to their "negotiating list". That addition means that should the Viking quarterback be released, the Bombers would hold exclusive CFL rights to Jackson.
