Running back Darren McFadden lines up at three different positions in practice.

D-MAC SHOWS VERSATILITY
Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden worked primarily at tailback in his first day of practice with the team. He showed off his variety of skills Saturday, May 10, when he lined up as a wide receiver at times, ran the ball out of the I-formation and worked at quarterback in some individual drills.

SLATON GETS CHANCE TO SHOW WORTH
Steve Slaton fumbled a pitch on one play and got his helmet knocked off on another during the second day of Houston Texans minicamp on Saturday. Later, he dodged three would-be tacklers and sprinted down the field. The former West Virginia star, drafted by the Texans in the third round, is getting plenty of snaps to show coach Gary Kubiak what he can do. Now if he can only memorize the complicated playbook.

ADIBI LEAVES WITH INJURY
Texans rookie LB Xavier Adibi left Texans practice Saturday with a hamstring injury.

BROOKING MOVES BACK TO WEAKSIDE
Steve Wyche, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons LB Keith Brooking has been moved back to weakside linebacker, his natural playing position. Brooking spent most of the past three seasons playing middle linebacker out of necessity. The switch might not be permanent.

RAVENS PLAYERS BRAWL
Nearly all 85 players in Baltimore Ravens camp were involved in a squabble Saturday that began when offensive tackle Oniel Cousins and defensive tackle Amon Gordon threw punches after running back Allen Patrick was taken down hard on a burst up the middle.
