FORT WORTH, Texas - After leading his team to a 33-30 victory over tenth-ranked Virginia Tech, Boise State junior Kellen Moore has been named The O'Brien Quarterback of the Week.

The signal caller from Prosser, Wash. completed 23 of 38 passes for 215 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Trailing 30-26, the O'Brien Watch List candidate and 2009 O'Brien Semifinalist, led the Broncos to victory with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Austin Pettis with 1:09 to play before a crowd of 86,587 at FedExField in Landover, Md.

"These are the type of opportunities you play for," said Moore. "This is where some of the big-time quarterbacks are able to make plays. This is your goal."

Moore's impressive performance on the national stage kept Boise State's BCS title hopes alive. But with 11 games left in the season, the Broncos must stay focused on the task ahead. After a bye week, Moore will lead his team into Laramie, Wyo. on Sept. 18 to take on Austyn Carta-Samuels and the Cowboys. The two teams will face off at 7 p.m. (CT) on CBS College Sports.
