After trading down, Ravens trade back up to get their quarterback of the future.
#18 Baltimore Ravens (from Texans): QB Joe Flacco, Delaware
The surprise retirement of Steve McNair applied the pressure for Baltimore to select a quarterback they can pin their hopes of the future on while they attempt to get through next season with Kyle Boller as signal-caller. Considered to be a project, Flacco will compete with Troy Smith as the backup but could find himself in the starting lineup by midseason should the Ravens stumble out of the gate.
