KC trades back up to grab the lineman they covet.

#15 Kansas City Chiefs: OG Branden Albert, Virginia
After contemplating Albert with the fifth overall pick, the Chiefs make a move to add one of the hottest players leading up to the draft. Many have viewed Albert as a potential candidate to play tackle at the next level but is best suited on the interior, which is where he will most likely begin his career. With quarterback Brodie Croyle expected to take the helm behind center, the Chiefs needed to add some serious protection for the inexperienced quarterback.

Detroit trades #15 overall (1st round) and #76 overall (3rd round) to Kansas City in exchange for #17 overall (1st round), #66 overall (3rd round) and #136 overall (5th round).
