Even with Rashard Mendenhall on the board, Bears address the offensive line.
#14 Chicago Bears: OT Chris Williams, Vanderbilt
With shaky quarterback play and an inconsistent running game, the selection of Williams helps improve both areas. Bears quarterbacks suffered from poor pass protection and limited time to react last season. In addition, the team struggled to get the running attack in gear. With Williams added to the fray, the team hopes to kick-start the career of Cedric Benson, while improve upon the passing game. The agile Williams helps these dire needs.
