Fresh off his performance at the Senior Bowl, Auburn linebacker Antonio Coleman is gearing for the NFL Scouting Combine. The First Team All-SEC selection finished with nine sacks and added 15.5 tackles for a loss, while playing through a wrist injury in 2009.
What is your official height, weight & recent forty time?
I am 6-1 ½ and 255 pounds. I don’t have an official forty-time but will be running it at the combine.
What do you consider to be your biggest strength?
I actually enjoy playing the run. I know most people recognize me for my pass rush but I enjoy playing the run too.
What part of your game have you worked on improving?
All phases. Trying to get bigger, faster, stronger and work with hands more.
Where have you been training, how often do you workout to stay in shape?
XPE Sports in Boca Raton, Florida. Working with Tony Villani.
Which coach has had the biggest impact on your playing career up to this point?
No doubt Coach Tracy Rocker [Auburn Defensive Line Coach]. He has taught me so much.
Any players that you would compare yourself to or a favorite player growing up?
DeMarcus Ware, Dwight Freeney, Elvis Dumervil and Jevon Kearse.
What do you like to do with your free time, do you have a hobby?
Just hanging out with my friends. I enjoy going to movies, dinner and bowling.
What was the best thing about the Alabama/Auburn games?
It’s amazing. The rivalry itself as the whole state shuts down. You can be 1-9 but if you win that game it’s been a good year. No doubt that’s the most important game of the year
If you could invite any three guests for dinner past or present who would they be?
Jerry Jones, President Barack Obama and GOD.
Best sports movie or book?
My favorite book is The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene and Joost Elffers as for my favorite sports movie I would say Little Giants.
What are your future goals outside of playing in the NFL?
I would love to coach. Working with kids and help the community would be rewarding. I might also look into doing private investigate type work [Editor Note]: (Antonio already has a degree in Criminology).
What are you going to miss most about your days in college?
The family atmosphere. From what everyone tells me the Pros equals business.
