NFL: Titans Deny Harrison Talk
Thursday, 20 August 2009 03:58    PDF Print E-mail

The Nashville Tennessean's Jim Wyatt says he's been told that "nothing's going on" between the Titans and veteran receiver Marvin Harrison. This report refutes Adam Schefter's claim that Tennessee was pursuing the former Colt standout.

The Skinny: I know Schefter is the guru, but I tend to believe Wyatt here. The Titans have been very pleased with their two veterans, Justin Gage and newcomer Nate Washington, and rookie Kenny Britt showed he belongs in the Titans' first preseason contest. There just doesn't seem to be a glaring need for the aging Harrison. A team like the Jets, who have a desperate need for receiving help, would be a more sensible fit for number 88.
