Rams RB Steven Jackson feels he could be more effective if the team got him the ball more. "I'm kind of like the streaky 3-point shooter," Jackson said. "The more I get a chance to touch the ball, the more I get a feel for what the defense is trying to do." Mandel's Take: Feed the Jax! The man is St. Louis' only big-time offensive player, yet he's rushed the ball only 33 times in two games? I know they were down big to Seattle in week one, but Jackson didn't run the ball enough when it was still a game. He ran the ball for over six yards a carry against Washington, but only had 17 carries in a game that was close throughout. It's not as if Marc Bulger is lighting up the sky, so why hasn't Jackson gotten the ball over 20 times a game? Let him spot up and extend the defense like the three-point shooter he compares himself to. Look for Jackson's request to be met this weekend as the Rams battle the Packers--Green Bay gave up 151 yards on the ground to Cincinnati last week. A World B. Free weekend could be in the cards.
