| NFL: Broncs' Marshall Embracing Role? | ||||

When asked if he was happy being a Bronco, Brandon Marshall told the Denver Post, "You guys are asking me questions from a month ago," Marshall said. "That's in the past. We're 2-0, the fans are happy, the players are happy, coaches are happy. Everybody's happy...And I'm the same." Mandel's Take: I have only one question: What have they done with the real Brandon Marshall? He issued a trade request a little more than a month ago, got suspended, hasn't been anything close to the focus of the offense, spoke out like a child last week...and now he's happy? Marshall is putting the team first, responding to leading questions like a pro, and claims, "I've learned from trying to fight the system." I think what he's learned is that he's going to get nowhere by acting the fool; he needs to at least ACT like a pro if he wants to get the snaps he thinks he deserves. At this point, the Denver organization will be pleased that he's putting this new attitude on display, even if it isn't real. I'd expect Marshall to be much more involved in the offense if he is able to maintain this facade and once that happens, he will be legitimately happy, or as happy as Marshall can be. Trackback(0)
