Stuart Schweigert is reportedly competing with Daniel Bullocks, Marquand Manuel and Kalvin Pearson for playing time at strong safety. Mancini’s Take: Is that THE Stuart Schweigert? Yikes, I didn’t realize how badly the Lions were hurting for a strong safety. Schweigert is another dude who can’t tackle. I’m sorry, but I know some people like his aggressiveness and intelligence, but all I remember about him is all the tackles he whiffed on in tandem with Michael Huff in Oaktown. As far as the others go, Bullocks is a nice in-the-box hitman who won’t embarrass himself in coverage, and may be the best choice. Manuel, on the other hand, couldn’t cover me on a five-yard curl route, while Pearson hasn’t shown much playmaking ability. Trackback(0)
