| All Access: Update On Vince Young | ||||

The Tennessee Titans keep insisting that Vince Young will be their starting quarterback again someday. And Young said Wednesday that he's maturing, working hard and learning the business of the NFL. Young is scheduled to count approximately $14 million against the salary cap in 2010 -- a lot of money for a backup quarterback. "My job is to be here knowing what's going on, being attentive, being visible in the locker room, working out and taking care of my responsibilities as quarterback," said Young, who turns 26 on May 18. "That's pretty much what I have to do. All the business part, I leave that to the guys upstairs and Major. ... Right now, I'm just focused on football." Mancini's Take: Watching Young sulk on the sideline and make no attempt to learn from Kerry Collins really made me wonder about this guy. Not only is he overly-sensitive to booing, but he's a selfish individual, who clearly distanced himself from the team when things weren't going his way. A leader of men he is not. I don't know about you, Ross, but I wouldn't have any patience for his immaturity. He'll eventually get a chance to redeem himself on the field. The physical skills are there, but that won't mean a lick if he can't throw from the pocket. Trackback(0)
