NFL: Vikings Torn Over Quarterbacks

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that some inside Vikings' the locker room still believe Tarvaris Jackson gives them their best chance to win.

The Skinny: The best course here, in my humble opinion, would be to trade Jackson before dissension grows and festers in the locker room between the pro Brett Favre guys and those on the other side of the fence. TJax is coming off a superb preseason performance, so the time to make a move is now. I’m sure quite a few general managers around the league were impressed with the way the young QB handled the blitz versus the Chiefs. The forgotten man in all this is Sage Rosenfels, who missed the last game with a sprained ankle. The ex-Texan was terrific in his one start versus Indy. I’d like to see him get a legitimate shot at competing for a starting spot against Favre, but that’s not going to happen with America’s favorite flip-flopper making a cool $12 million this season.
