Though Marc Bulger (shoulder) is "progressing well," Kyle Boller is expected to start against the Vikings Sunday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Mancini's Take: The good news is that even a 66-year-old Joe Namath with no knees would be an improvement over the soft and inept Bulger. The bad news, however, is that no quarterback stands much of a chance to do anything behind a banged-up offensive line that will probably be without rookie Jason Smith at right tackle. Those who argue that Aaron Rodgers still managed to put up excellent numbers behind a weak line versus the same Minnesota squad that St. Louis will be facing this week, must realize that Rodgers has guys like Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, and Jermichael Finley to support him. The Rams, on the other hand, will be without the immensely talented Laurent Robinson for the remainder of the season, along with number-one wide out Donnie Avery who's questionable with a hamstring injury. The remaining receivers and tight ends on the team just aren't good enough to consistently get open. Vikings DE Jared Allen must be licking his lips at the propect of incessantly breathing down Boler's neck and making him wish he never got out of bed that day. Brace yourself Rams fans---it's going to get ugly out there. Trackback(0)
