| NFL: Collins Remains Starter | ||||

According to the Nashville Tennessean, coach Jeff Fisher insists that Kerry Collins' job as the team's starting quarterback is safe after the Titans have started the season 0-3. Mancini’s Take: Collins did his best to give Tennessee a chance to win after quickly falling behind two scores early in Tennessee’s loss to the Jets, which currently have one of the two or three most aggressive defenses in the league. While the ole field general could’ve been more accurate at times, he had several passes dropped on him. But if Tennessee doesn’t right its ship quickly, what sense does it make to continue rolling out a 36-year-old with very limited mobility and risk getting him hurt. The key to Collins’ success will be to keep him the pocket, where he can set his feet and unleash his big arm. Outside of the tackle box, Collins is useless. Trackback(0)
