An Associated Press report confirms that Titans LCB Nick Harper is out 4-6 weeks with a broken forearm. Mancini’s Take: It’s funny, but one source commented that Harper is 35 and may not recover quickly, which makes me laugh. The man is a 35-year-old athlete not a 95-year-old on his death bed, and he’s dealing with a broken arm, not two torn knee ligaments. He’ll be fine in about a month. But what do the Titans do in the meantime as they go into New England with no Harper or Cortland Finnegan at cornerback, who's still dealing with hamstring tightness? If Finnegan doesn’t recover in time, coach Jeff Fisher will be forced to use the shaky Ryan Mouton and Rutgers product Jason McCourty to stop Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Yikes! McCourty actually has good instincts, while Mouton is more of a slot corner. My guess here is that Tennessee’s safeties will be kept back a lot to help out the rookies. Look for the Patriots to have no problems running or passing the ball. Trackback(0)
