Vince Young is "not a given" to stay with the Titans in 2009, according to SI.com's Don Banks and NFL Network's Adam Schefter confirmed that Jay Cutler will not be on the trading block whatsoever moving forward. Mancini's Take: VY shouldn't be a given to stay in the NFL period. He can't throw from the pocket and he has absolutely no leadership skills. The UT product has a looooong way to go before someone hands him a starting job again. It may never happen. As far as Cutler goes, shame on Josh McDaniels for trying to move his young, rocket-armed thrower. I just don't get why he even thought of trading him. If the young HC is such a great developer of quarterbacks, then please tell me why in the world McDaniels can't make Cutler a better player. A passer with his tools doesn't come around everyday. With a little tweaking, JC can become a perennial Pro Bowl quarterback that can take you to a Super Bowl. I know the kid can be hard to deal with at times and doesn't always show a lot of heart on the field, but you're talking about one of the most athletic and skilled signal callers in the game. These are the types of players you try to work with. I don't want to blow this out of proportion, Ross, but this little turn of events may cause Cutler to sign elsewhere once his current contract expires. Trackback(0)
