Earlier today at their practice facility in New Jersey, New York Jets Kerry Rhodes, Lito Sheppard and James Ihedigbo gave their take on Michal Vick making his return to the NFL tonight.

Are you going to be watching tonight?

Kerry Rhodes:
I think I will check him out and see how he’s doing. They say he’s going to play with the first team, so I’ll check him out a little bit.

What are you thoughts about him coming back to the league?

Kerry Rhodes:
I think it’s a good thing for the league. I think he’s a good player and everybody deserves a second chance.

Are you going to be watching tonight?

Lito Shepard:
Of course! Along with probably half of America. I’m a Mike Vick fan. I wish him the best and I wish him success on the field. I think he’s with a good organization and I think he’ll be OK there.

How much can Donovan McNabb help Michael Vick?

Lito Shepard:
When you say help Michael…Donovan is a great role model, but Vick is not a young player in this league. It’s not like he needs to have his hand held. He made his mistakes and he’s learned from them and I think he can handle himself accordingly. Just being able to play behind a quarterback of Donovan’s stature I think that is going to be something good for him.

Are you going to be watching tonight?

James Ihedigbo:
I definitely will. I’m happy for Michael Vick and the opportunity he has in front of him. I wish him the best of luck. He’s going to go out there and do what he does on the football field. The kind of player he is, you don’t lose that. All he can do is get better. I wish him the best of luck.
